Generally the best set up for window blinds is to control them (ie open and close them) with a cord. However these days you can set them up to be electronically controlled either directly from the wall or remotely - just in case they are not easy to access. Vertical blinds are our favourite blinds today . In some houses blinds are used instead of curtains, often in loft extensions or conservatories. In a loft extension you might expect the blinds to be Velux, and in a conservatory, more likely to be Roman blinds.

When cleaning your venetian blinds it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer's instructions. But we recommend that you clean them every week to avoid a serious build-up of dirt that's harder to remove. A damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dirty finger marks (even sticky ones), and sometimes it's easier to clean them all when they are closed and flat. Whether you are looking for venetian blinds, velux blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds or... well any type of blind... we think we can help transform your home in DT11.

If you have children, the safest products are cordless or those with concealed cords which allow you manually move the blind around. Tensioned cords can achieve the same effect. Don't forget to make sure you accurately measure your windows so that the blinds fit! We know it can be confusing sometimes when working with both cm and inches, and you wont be the first person to make that mistake if it happens.
