Generally the best set up for window blinds is to control them (ie open and close them) with a cord. However these days you can set them up to be electronically controlled either directly from the wall or remotely - just in case they are not easy to access. We love all blinds, but especially venetian blinds . It's important to look after your blinds to ensure they have a long life. However, it doesn't take a lot of effort to do so. Solid blinds just need a damp cloth wipe, and material blinds are best if they are dry cleaned (as long as it says that's ok on the instructions!).

There are many tips for cleaning venetian window blinds but it's never a bad idea to check with the manufacturer who will know exactly the best approach. A damp cloth or sponge is usually the best answer to finger marks, and a quick vaccuum every week will keep them from collecting too much dust! Whether you are looking for venetian blinds, velux blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds or... well any type of blind... we think we can help transform your home in DN3.

If you have children, the safest products are cordless or those with concealed cords which allow you manually move the blind around. Tensioned cords can achieve the same effect. If you are measuring your own windows make sure that you use a metal tape as the cloth based tapes can stretch and show inaccurate results.
