There are two main uses for window blinds. The first is obviously privacy - and effective way to keep out prying eyes. However they were originally developed in ancient Egypt to block out the sun and reduce the heat coming into the buildings. These blinds were created from reeds. Roller blinds can be very compact . It's important to look after your blinds to ensure they have a long life. However, it doesn't take a lot of effort to do so. Solid blinds just need a damp cloth wipe, and material blinds are best if they are dry cleaned (as long as it says that's ok on the instructions!).

There are many tips for cleaning venetian window blinds but it's never a bad idea to check with the manufacturer who will know exactly the best approach. A damp cloth or sponge is usually the best answer to finger marks, and a quick vaccuum every week will keep them from collecting too much dust! We have blinds all over our home because we think they add a more modern feel to our rooms and afford us privacy while keeping the light coming in. You can do the same in OX4.

If you have children, the safest products are cordless or those with concealed cords which allow you manually move the blind around. Tensioned cords can achieve the same effect. Don't forget to make sure you accurately measure your windows so that the blinds fit! We know it can be confusing sometimes when working with both cm and inches, and you wont be the first person to make that mistake if it happens.
