There are two main uses for window blinds. The first is obviously privacy - and effective way to keep out prying eyes. However they were originally developed in ancient Egypt to block out the sun and reduce the heat coming into the buildings. These blinds were created from reeds. We love all blinds, but especially venetian blinds . Many types of blind are much easier to clean than curtains as they can be wiped with a damp cloth, but it is very important that you check the manufacturer's guidelines as this will not be true of all.

When cleaning your venetian blinds it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer's instructions. But we recommend that you clean them every week to avoid a serious build-up of dirt that's harder to remove. A damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dirty finger marks (even sticky ones), and sometimes it's easier to clean them all when they are closed and flat. Whether you are looking for venetian blinds, velux blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds or... well any type of blind... we think we can help transform your home in Oxted.

It's important that when you install your blinds you consider the safety aspect of the cord. If you have young children in the house then you should have a tie system that keeps the cord out of reach. If you are measuring your own windows make sure that you use a metal tape as the cloth based tapes can stretch and show inaccurate results.
