Window blinds are usually closed by pulling a cord, although sometimes they can be motorised with the controls either on the wall, on a remote or sometimes even on a computer. These are more common for blinds that are hard to access. Blackout blinds will keep your room very dark . If you treat your material blinds with care, they will rarely need cleaning. Yes, it's a good idea to get them dry-cleaned every few years (please check the manufacturers' instructions) but if you make sure you only move them with clean hands (not newspaper hands) then they should have a long clean, happy life.

When cleaning your venetian blinds it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer's instructions. But we recommend that you clean them every week to avoid a serious build-up of dirt that's harder to remove. A damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dirty finger marks (even sticky ones), and sometimes it's easier to clean them all when they are closed and flat. Whether you are looking for venetian blinds, velux blinds, roller blinds, roman blinds or... well any type of blind... we think we can help transform your home in TR14.

If you have children, please make sure any cords are out of reach to ensure their safety. You can never be too careful. If you are measuring your own windows make sure that you use a metal tape as the cloth based tapes can stretch and show inaccurate results.
