Generally the best set up for window blinds is to control them (ie open and close them) with a cord. However these days you can set them up to be electronically controlled either directly from the wall or remotely - just in case they are not easy to access. Every day blinds that feel special. Did you know that Velux is actually a brand name, not a descriptor? Just like Sellotape, Astro Turf and Hoover, we've become used to describing a type of product by the name of the leading brand in the market.

When cleaning your venetian blinds it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer's instructions. But we recommend that you clean them every week to avoid a serious build-up of dirt that's harder to remove. A damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dirty finger marks (even sticky ones), and sometimes it's easier to clean them all when they are closed and flat. Whatever type of blind you require, our partners can probably supply it not just to the colour and style you require, but often made to measure and delivered to TR26.

It's important that when you install your blinds you consider the safety aspect of the cord. If you have young children in the house then you should have a tie system that keeps the cord out of reach. Don't forget to make sure you accurately measure your windows so that the blinds fit! We know it can be confusing sometimes when working with both cm and inches, and you wont be the first person to make that mistake if it happens.
