Generally the best set up for window blinds is to control them (ie open and close them) with a cord. However these days you can set them up to be electronically controlled either directly from the wall or remotely - just in case they are not easy to access. Made to measure blinds are the right size . It's important to look after your blinds to ensure they have a long life. However, it doesn't take a lot of effort to do so. Solid blinds just need a damp cloth wipe, and material blinds are best if they are dry cleaned (as long as it says that's ok on the instructions!).

When cleaning your venetian blinds it is always a good idea to check the manufacturer's instructions. But we recommend that you clean them every week to avoid a serious build-up of dirt that's harder to remove. A damp cloth is usually sufficient to remove dirty finger marks (even sticky ones), and sometimes it's easier to clean them all when they are closed and flat. Whatever type of blind you require, our partners can probably supply it not just to the colour and style you require, but often made to measure and delivered to WD3.

If you have children, the safest products are cordless or those with concealed cords which allow you manually move the blind around. Tensioned cords can achieve the same effect. Don't forget to make sure you accurately measure your windows so that the blinds fit! We know it can be confusing sometimes when working with both cm and inches, and you wont be the first person to make that mistake if it happens.
